Scientists identify gene responsible for fatal abdominal condition

Leicester (UK): An international team of medical scientists led by Dr Matt Bown, a vascular surgeon from the University of Leicester, has identified a gene that is linked to the development of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs), a fatal abdominal condition that afflicts tens of thousands of people across the world.
