New York: A novel light-activated nanotherapy developed by researchers at the University of Colorado – Boulder may be an effective weapon against the drug-resistant bacteria, say researchers including one of Indian-origin.

Sydney: In a major breakthrough, an international team of scientists has proven that addiction to morphine and heroin can be blocked, while at the same time increasing pain relief.
A study, led by Dr Teri L Hernandez and Dr Robert H Eckel of University of Colorado, has found that fat removed by liposuction comes back within a year. However, the fat will not return to the areas of the body where it was removed from, usually the thighs, lower abdomen and buttocks. Instead it will reappear elsewhere, typically around the shoulders, arms and upper abdomen.
