New Delhi: The clinical trials of 162 new chemical entities will continue to be on the hold as Supreme Court on Monday said that the technical committee and the apex committee will examine the benefits of these trials for the country.
New Delhi: After a report from a parliamentary standing committee pointed out huge irregularities in the functioning of the Central Drugs Standards Control Organisation (CDSCO), the union health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Friday announced that a three-member committee would examine the issue.

New Delhi: Huge irregularities have surfaced in the functioning of Central Drugs Standards Control Organisation (CDSCO), with a parliamentary panel pointing out that at least 33 drugs have been allowed to be sold in India without proper trials.

New Delhi: A report by the parliamentary standing committee for health and family welfare, which looked at the functioning of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), reveals that some drug companies have been writing scientific recommendations of their own products and submitting them to the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) after getting them endorsed by top doctors for a quicker marketing approval.

New Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is facing an acute shortage of manpower. According to the Parliamentary standing committee on health, 47 posts of professors, 9 posts of additional professors, 16 posts of associate professors, 303 posts of assistant professors and 13 posts of nursing lecturers are lying vacant at AIIMS.
