IMA wants Central Act to combat violence against doctors and their medical establishments

Jharkhand’s kidnapped doctor found dead

Clinical Establishments Act comes into force in 4 states, UTs

New Delhi: The Clinical Establishments (Registration & Regulation) Act, 2010, which makes provision for minimum standards of facilities, services and minimum requirement of personnel for registration and regulation of the clinical establishments, has come into force in Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Sikkim and the union territories, with effect from 1st March 2012.

‘32.5% in Jharkhand forest suffering from cataract’

Ranchi: Over 32 per cent of people in Saranda forest in Jharkhand are suffering from cataract, a doctor said on Monday after conducting an eye camp that was inaugurated by the union rural development minister Jairam Ramesh on Republic Day.

Jharkhand government orders closure of 23 clinics found violating PCPNDT Act

Ranchi: The Jharkhand state health services has ordered to close down 23 clinics in the state that were found violating the Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, 1994.
