New Delhi: There will be no limit on the number of attempts for a candidate in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) or the maximum age at which he or she can appear in the test, the Medical Council of India (MCI) has said.

New Delhi: In an attempt to point out yet another irregularity in the selection of the newly elected Medical Council of India (MCI), Dr Kunal Saha, the NRI medical practitioner who is waging a crusade against corruption in the medical field, has identified that the newly elected MCI vice president, Dr C V Bhirmanandham, was previously found guilty of doing an unethical act to help a top political leader in Tamil Nadu. Dr Saha obtained the information from the state health department through some documents received under the RTI Act.
New Delhi: Dr Jayshree Ben Mehta, former vice chancellor of Sumandeep University, Waghodia (Vadodara, Gujarat), has been elected unopposed as president of the Medical Council of India (MCI). Dr C V Bhirmanandham, former vice chancellor of Dr M G R Health University, Chennai (Tamil Nadu) has been elected unopposed as vice president of the MCI.
