Apollo Hospitals signs MoU with CSC to provide telemedicine services in rural India

New Delhi: Apollo Tele Health Services, a group company of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited, on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Common Services Centres Scheme (CSC) of the department of electronics and information technology, ministry of communication and information technology, to provide healthcare to rural patients using telemedicine.

We need to spend more time with patients

We have to realize that medicine is changing, the expectation of patients are changing all the time; today, a patient is well informed; we need to spend more and more time with patients to communicate to them, answer their queries in a very professional manner. We need to start looking at the international guidelines that are available to make sure that the treatment that we offer is in keeping with what the international standards are. Many of us need to start looking at group practice so that we can further specialize and contribute to improving the patient care by taking advice from other colleagues, by using technologies. So, there is a lot we as technicians need to do to meet the expectations of the patients, which are rightfully increasing.
