In June 2016, AIIMS had filed an affidavit in the Delhi High Court, which was cleared by Dr Misra, claiming certain observations of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare mentioned in its report tabled in Parliament in August 2015 is “based on no foundation”.

Bengaluru: The Centre’s plan to conduct an exit exam for MBBS students has drawn flak from the Indian Medical Association (IMA). “Such a move will belittle the scope of the MBBS exam,” Dr K K Aggarwal, Secretary General, IMA, said, adding, “We will oppose the exit exam for medical graduates.”
Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed the Haryana government to adjust the MBBS students (2014-15 batch) of now closed Gold Field Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (GFIMSR), Faridabad in state-run medical colleges.
New Delhi: The Centre has constituted separate committees to facilitate expeditious filling up of vacancies in the six new All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Union Health Minister J P Nadda told the Lok Sabha on Friday. The newly set-up AIIMS at Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Bhopal, Patna, Bhubaneswar and Raipur have been advised to fill up posts on a regular basis.
