New Delhi: The government is planning to double the bed strength of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi over the next two years, according to Health Minister J P Nadda.
“Within a span of two years the capacity of AIIMS in Delhi will be doubled. We are aiming to double the capacity of number of beds in the institution,” Nadda told the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. (Source: DNA)
NEED OF HOUR:-due to paucity of quality human resources,the joining age and retirement age in AIIMS to be increased to 60 and 75 respectively, or else there will be beds without quality doctors.
as per promise by govt, before taking charge to have one AIIMS in each state., it further emphasizes ihe presence of quality human resources in premeire institutions.
