Cases registered against 13 fake doctors

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered cases against 13 persons who obtained fake Permanent Registration from the Medical Council of India (MCI) and also against involved MCI officials.

According to Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, the MCI has issued public notice about fake registration documents in respect of the following 13 persons: Sivakumar Subramanian, Basil Johnson Bosoo, Sivachandran Guruswamy Pandian, Patel Tejas Kumar Rameshchandra, Patel Kavdankumar Vishnubhai, Shah Hiralbahen Mahendra Kumar, Ayush M, Kumar Amit G, S Pakhira, M G Krishnana, Sree N N, Maibam Luckykanta Singh, and Chintu Tojan.

The MCI further informed the health ministry that officials of the Council who were found to be guilty of involvement in such cases have been placed under suspension on the basis of information received from the CBI, said Dr Harsh Vardhan in a written reply in the Lok Sabha on Friday.
