What are they going to teach there: snap at the case and operate immediately or will they seriously discuss how to implement combined modality comprehensive approach in oncological management that is sadly lacking in most of the surgery department….mainly due to arrogance and a falsehood of dominance… I am your doctor and you can have SOME local radiotherapy there!!!

Undergraduate students who come for rotational posting to radiotherapy department when are asked what is the treatment of cancer ? their quick answer comes….Surgery.
Is it the mistake in the MBBS Syllabus the separate subject of Oncology is not there ( cancer : II major killer now)

The matter of fact as revealed in several inspections related to accreditation is that surgeons do not consult oncologist or other specialists related to oncological sciences before they cut and often throw without having a thorough examination of Post operative specimen.
