Bangalore: Manipal Hospitals has raised $100 million from India Value Fund Advisors (IVFA). The company expects an additional inflow of $100 million from the same investor in the months to come.
Manipal Group currently owns over 2,000 beds in 15 hospitals and manages 2,800 beds in 20 third party hospitals. The group’s plan is to double its hospital bed inventory to 4,000 in the next two years.
“We are looking at brown-field and green field projects in healthcare in India, Malaysia and the Middle East. We are currently in advanced talks with several hospitals,” Dr Ranjan Pai, CEO, Manipal Education and Medical Group, told ToI.
