ICMR researchers complete phase III clinical trials of a long-term use reversible male contraceptive
New Delhi: Researchers at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) have completed the phase III clinical trials of Risug, a long-term use reversible male contraceptive, on 282 volunteers in five centres across India, and zero side-effects and difficulties have been reported, according to Dr R S Sharma, head of reproductive biology and maternal health at ICMR.

Kolkata: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur have signed an agreement under which engineering students of IIT Kharagpur will study at the ICMR, while doctors from the medical research body will visit the engineering institute to enable research in medical technology.

Kolkata: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has received financial approval of Rs 230 crore for a 400-bed super-speciality hospital, which will be later upgraded to 750-bed. The hospital, expected to become operational within two years, will be a part of IIT Kharagpur’s dream project Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy Institute of Medical Science and Research.
