Dr Kunal Saha to file review petition against Supreme Court’s decision

New Delhi: Dr Kunal Saha whose petition against the West Bengal Medical Council for not taking any disciplinary action against Dr Sukumar Mukherjee considered responsible for the death of Dr Saha’s wife, Anuradha Saha, was rejected by the Supreme Court on Friday, has said he will file a review petition against the court’s decision.

AMRI hospital pays Rs 1.6 crore compensation in Anuradha death case

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the plea by Kolkata-based AMRI hospital, which had sought one-year extra time to pay the compensation of over Rs 11.5 crore in a case of death due to medical negligence.

IMA to be a party in the review petition against SC judgement in Anuradha Saha case

New Delhi: A review petition against the October 24 judgment of the Supreme Court in which it asked the Kolkata-based AMRI Hospital and three doctors to pay damages of Rs 6.08 crore to US-based Dr Kunal Saha, whose wife Anuradha Saha died due to medical negligence in 1998, is apparently going to be filed by the hospital in the apex court.

Supreme Court notice to Mamata Banerjee in health adviser appointment case

In response to ‘A letter from Dr R Sreedhara to Aamir Khan’, Major (Retired) Pankaj Rai has written a rejoinder in which he has tried to present his version of the story involving the death of his wife Seema Rai who expired on May 6, 2010 after kidney-pancreas transplant surgery at Fortis Hospital, Bangalore. The incident was featured in the fourth episode, ‘Every Life is Precious’, of the TV programme Satyamev Jayate aired on May 27, 2012.

AMRI, Dr S Mukherjee, Dr B Halder, Dr B Prasad pay Rs 1.2 crore in a case of medical negligence

Kolkata: AMRI Hospital and three prominent doctors of Kolkata — Dr Sukumar Mukherjee, Dr Baidyanath Halder and Dr Balaram Prasad — on Tuesday paid a compensation of Rs 1.2 crore to the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) for causing death of Anuradha Saha, who expired in 1998, due to medical negligence.
