Dr Kunal Saha to file review petition against Supreme Court’s decision

New Delhi: Dr Kunal Saha whose petition against the West Bengal Medical Council for not taking any disciplinary action against Dr Sukumar Mukherjee considered responsible for the death of Dr Saha’s wife, Anuradha Saha, was rejected by the Supreme Court on Friday, has said he will file a review petition against the court’s decision.

AMRI hospital pays Rs 1.6 crore compensation in Anuradha death case

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the plea by Kolkata-based AMRI hospital, which had sought one-year extra time to pay the compensation of over Rs 11.5 crore in a case of death due to medical negligence.

‘Doctors are just overreacting about the compensation offered in the Anuradha Saha case’

New Delhi: The Supreme Court judgement in the Anuradha Saha case has created a difference in the medical fraternity. Dr Kunal Saha, a US-based professor and private consultant in HIV/AIDS, is known for his struggle against a case in which his wife, Anuradha Saha, died at the age of 36 at Kolkata-based Advanced Medicare Research Institute (AMRI) of medical negligence on May 28, 1998.

Supreme Court notice to Mamata Banerjee in health adviser appointment case
