India Medical Times (formerly AalaTimes.com) was launched on March 15, 2011 with a mission to create a vibrant and interactive forum for India’s medical professionals and bridge the information gap between medical professionals and the industry.

India Medical Times provides medical industry news, information about latest medical developments, upcoming medical conferences and CMEs (continuing medical education), medical research updates, clinical advances, interviews of senior medical professionals, features on related issues, career opportunities etc related to the interests of India’s medical professionals.

India Medical Times also provides high quality medical articles written by subject experts in their field. The content focus is on medical research, telemedicine and medical tourism. For hospital managers, India Medical Times provides information on medical and related equipment and technology. (We would be happy to publish contributory medical articles from medical professionals. To know more please write to editor@indiamedicaltimes.com.)

The endeavour is to help medical professionals keep themselves up to date with the latest practical information and help improve their practice. It’s for these reasons that India Medical Times is considered as a go to destination by the who’s who in the Indian medical industry.

In a short period, India Medical Times has evolved into India’s most comprehensive news portal exclusively for medical professionals in terms of content and readership and has received rave reviews from some of the most eminent doctors in the country.

Recommendations for Rajesh Barnwal, former Editor, AlooTechie.com [Originally posted on LinkedIn]

“Rajesh is one of those guys in Indian Internet industry who have contributed significantly in shaping up the entire industry in last few years. He is the man behind and the face of Alootechie… a site that every internet professional of India loves to visit. What I particularly like about Rajesh and Alootechie is that they have a healthy mix of coverage between Start-ups and established media companies. This definitely is a morale-booster for start-ups (it was one for me when we launched Extramarks.com). In my view, Rajesh is singularly responsible for getting Alootechie to its current stage of success!! I wish all the best for him and Aloo!”

Alok Bhatnagar, Business Development Lead- Consumer Media, South Asia, Reuters [December 6, 2010]

“Rajesh is an extremely sharp and smart media professional. He is very objective in his approach and yet open to ideas and suggestions that would make the outcome of the collaboration larger. Well updated and informed, he knows his business. Rajesh is affable, and a pleasure to meet, work with and get to befriend!”

Alok Kejriwal, Co-Founder & CEO, Games2win India [November 10, 2010]

“I have known Rajeshji to be soft-spoken, quiet and polite in his demeanour. Even in the most trying circumstances, he has always maintained his cool and offered guidance and encouragement. Behind those glasses is a sharp business acumen that can see through Corporate PR chaff and weed out the substance of a story. Considering Rajeshji has been in this space since the last 5+ years, he has a tremendous amount of knowledge and insight on the Digital and Internet industry in India.”

Asfaq Tapia, former Editorial Writer, AlooTechie [November 8, 2010]

“Its Amazing how Rajesh has been able to single handedly be the source of anything & everything in the Internet Industry in India. The variety of audience… students/interns to serious PE guys sitting in New York who subscribe to AlooTechie is what makes the audience mix of AT so interesting & unique.”

Harish Bahl, Founder & Group CEO, The Smile Group [November 7, 2010]

“Alootechie is today one of the top Internet related newsletter / e-zine in India today, and the sole credit of this goes to the passion and discipline of Rajesh. It takes a rare individual to fight against all odds and build a brand single handedly. The Internet Advertising industry of India surely owes a lot to Rajesh for his thousands of 4 am wake up calls to ensure Alootechie goes out in time !”

Vivek Bhargava, Managing Director, Communicate2 [November 6, 2010]

Informative, relevant, elegant. But why a blue theme for a site that screams for green?

@Arnie Good that you asked. The colour blue is considered to be anti-bacterial and anti-infection. Perhaps that’s the reason why you would see most of the doctors displaying their nameplates in blue.

Good idea this, but I hope this does not go the way of the popsci media where medical news is distorted disproportionately! Didn’t know Aala=steths! :)
